Notes and Policies on Our NOS Tubes

Warranty:

Our NOS tubes are fully tested and have a 30 day warranty.  They are guaranteed to be free from manufactures defect.  Warranty ends 30 days from date of purchase.  Important: You must check and reset your bias for your power tubes where necessary. Failure to do this will void the warranty, damage the tubes and possibly your amp!

Testing:
Tubes are tested for shorts, grid emission and trans-conductance on both a B+k 747  and/or Hickok 6000A tube tester.  Both testers are maintained and calibrated.

Even more importantly they are tested in actual Ampeg amps. Power tubes are matched for current draw and preamp tubes tested for proper operation, micro-phonics or other noise issues. 

A note on micro-phonics:  When we talk about micro-phonic tubes in guitar amps, these are the tubes that make their own noise or "sing", sometimes even without ever doing the "tap test".  All tubes will make some sound or thud if you tap them but this is normal.

What we don't do:

We don't pay attention to boxes. Your tube will most likely come in its original box but may come in a white box if the original box has deteriorated.

We don't check for tube date codes or match tube date codes.  Our main concern is supplying tubes that meet electrical specs. We do match power tubes for tube brand , tube architecture and type. i.e. tall bottle, short bottle.
